Police Eagle/L Mauser P.38 Rig

This is an excellent example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi police force in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper police “Eagle L” proof. The rig comes with a 1944-dated holster and a period-correct magazine. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the muzzle, front edges of the slide, and on the barrel through the ejection port. There is noticeable spotty oxidation on the barrel. Excellent grips. The bore is very shiny with strong rifling and areas of minor freckling. De-cocker is functional. The holster has been modified and dyed, likely done at the police arsenal. The stitching is torn on one of the belt loops. There are a bunch of markings scratched into the leather on the back of the holster.
